Clothing-optional or topless-optional?

The two are not the same thing, and booking the wrong one is the most common way people end up somewhere they did not mean to be.

What the difference actually is

Topless-optional means tops are optional in the pool and on the beach, and nothing more. Clothing-optional means exactly what it says, throughout the property. They are different rules, at different resorts, run by the same company.

The other rule that catches people

Couples-only is a separate restriction from either. A resort can be clothing-optional and refuse a solo booking; another can be topless-optional and take singles and couples both. Check them independently.
